Farmers Implement is looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Agriculture Mechanic/Technician. We have both inhouse mechanic and field mechanic positions available.

Agriculture Mechanic/Technician need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and interact with team members on a daily basis from the field and in store

Agriculture Mechanic/Technician Responsibilities :

• Diagnose problems with malfunctioning farm equipment.
• Complete accurate reports about the repairs and relay repair information to customers.
• Maintain tools, service trucks, and paperwork/customer logs while in the field.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and determine equipment functionality.
• Repair engines, hydraulics, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret schematics.
• Communicate daily with Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
• Customer service including explanation of technical information to customers in clear terms.

Agriculture Mechanic/Technician Requirements :

• Must have the proper amount of own tools to complete repairs (laptops and EST tools will be provided)
• 3-year previous Agriculture/Heavy Mechanic experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.
• Diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit and able to at least 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
