We are currently seeking candidates for teaching
in-seat undergraduate art history and art appreciation. Under the direction of the Chair of the Art department, this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate art courses.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for teaching introductory art courses which include:
- ART 132 Ancient to Gothic Art History Art
- ART 133 Renaissance to Modern Art History
- ART 131 Art Appreciation
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Art department and throughout the university.
- Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templates, required text(s), and other resources.
- Provide regular and timely feedback on student work.
- Maintain regular communication with students through office hours and e-mail.
- Maintain clear, consistent records in Blackboard and Workday.
- Participate in department-wide assessments.
- Respond to student evaluations.
- Follow university policies and procedures.
- Commute to campus and teach in-seat.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.A. in Art
- Student-focused teaching that addresses the needs of all learners, both traditional and nontraditional.
- Ongoing professional development.
- Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
- Ability to commute to campus and teach in-seat on a regular basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Art History; M.F.A. in Studio Art
- Experience in teaching and developing in-seat courses in art history and art appreciation.
- Experience with a variety of pedagogical and educational methods.
