Job Title: Manager/Director of Accounts Receivable and Credit

Location: Luling, Louisiana (10 minutes from New Orleans Airport)

Work Arrangement: 100% in-office (flexibility as needed)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: Open to market

Role Overview:

A well-established and growing building materials distributor is seeking a seasoned Manager or Director of Accounts Receivable and Credit to lead the AR and credit function. This leadership role will be responsible for managing full-cycle credit and collections operations, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and driving process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounts receivable and credit function across both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee full-cycle credit and collections processes, including:
• Evaluating customer creditworthiness.
• Securing timely payments.
• Managing disputes and initiating legal action when necessary.
• Mitigate financial risk by:
• Managing lien rights.
• Coordinating with legal counsel on claims and settlements.
• Collaborating with Sales and Operations to enforce credit policies.
• Deliver accurate monthly reporting on AR aging and credit risk to executive leadership.
• Identify and implement enhancements to current systems, policies, and processes for improved operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 7–10+ years leading AR and credit functions, preferably overseeing portfolios of $100M+
• Strong knowledge of credit qualification practices , risk mitigation strategies, and enforcement of terms
• In-depth experience with lien laws and filings , especially in Louisiana and surrounding states
• Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail required.
• Background in Business, Finance, Credit Management, or Law (Attorney or Paralegal experience is a strong plus)
