Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in AP/AR as well as excellent communication skills. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $24 to $28 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Handles various monthly account reconciliations assigned by supervisor.
• Aids auditors while performing accounting, administrative and bookkeeping duties.
• Perform research on various accounting processes, analyze variances and prepare appropriate reports.
• Help with general admin/data entry work as needed

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Accounting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel,Outlook, Word)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
