Role Overview:
The New York Life Summer Internship experience offers an exciting opportunity for rising juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure to a corporate environment. As part of your summer, you’ll participate in learning and development activities, gaining insight into our business and how our company functions. The summer internship program also includes additional social and networking opportunities where you will be able to expand your network with peers, mentors and senior leaders.
The Summer Internship opportunity is 10 weeks long, beginning Monday June 1st, 2026, and concluding Thursday, August 6, 2026. Interns will work on a hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays remotely.
Internship opportunities may be located in: New York, NY, White Plains, NY or Jersey City, NJ. Location is dependent upon the exact team you are aligned to; however, you will be able to specify your preferences on the job application.
What You’ll Do:
Join New York Life’s Communications, Marketing & Corporate Responsibility pathway and gain hands-on experience in driving brand engagement, storytelling, and community impact. Interns in this pathway help bring New York Life’s story to life through projects that may include supporting marketing campaigns, developing communications materials, contributing to social media or brand initiatives, and assisting with corporate responsibility and community engagement programs.
Interns are aligned to a team based on business needs and individual interests, which may include—but are not limited to—areas such as corporate communications, graphic design, marketing strategy and analytics, social media, sponsorships, or corporate social responsibility.
During the summer, interns may:
Contribute to communications initiatives that support internal and external messaging, content development, and storytelling
Assist with marketing campaigns and sponsorship activities, including research, planning, logistics, and reporting
Support community engagement and corporate responsibility efforts through event coordination, outreach, and volunteer programming
Gain exposure to analytics and insights tools to help measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects that enhance visibility, strengthen engagement, and drive impact
What You’ll Bring:
Must be enrolled at an accredited 4-year university or college with anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
