Pay: Starting at $18.00 an hour

Shift: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (overtime per business needs)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional level of attention to detail.
• Exceptional performance accuracy.
• Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Material handling equipment experience (preferred but not required).
• Receiving background (preferred but not required).
• Interact with vendors, drivers, and customer service.
• Ability to perform daily cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills 
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft office preferred.

Expectations of you and others at this level

• Ability to learn multiple warehouse management systems.
• Ability to learn operation and safe use of forklifts. Cherry Picker, Reach Forklift Operator, Material Handlers such as pallet jacks, tug, and walkie rider.
• Ability to work in refrigerated temperatures for long periods of time (with use of PPE).
• Works under moderate degree of supervision.
• Flexibility to work over-time as needed.
• Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
• Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
• Adheres to all quality guidelines.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines.
• Adheres to attendance guidelines.
• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
